Administration

Mrs. Debbie Patlovany - Principal

Welcome to Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary School!

My name is Debbie Patlovany and it is my privilege to serve as principal of Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary for the 2012-2013 school year.

My husband and I have lived in the San Antonio area since 1977.  Our two sons attended NISD schools and received outstanding educations.  My role in NISD has ranged from community member to parent to teacher to administrator.

I am a graduate of UTSA with a BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math.  I completed my MA degree in Education/Administration/Mid-Management at UTSA also.  I have been an educator in NISD since 1983.  I taught Math for nine years at Sul Ross Middle School and  Rudder Middle School.  I then served as Vice Principal at Carlos Coon Elementary and Northwest Crossing Elementary for eleven years before becoming the principal at Northwest Crossing.  In 2006, I had the honor of opening Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary where I continue to serve as principal.  I look forward to another exciting year here at Murnin working with our wonderful staff, students, parents and community.

Ms. Anne Kleeberg - Vice-Principal

Welcome to Dr. Winn Murnin Elementary School, home of the Mariners. My name is Anne Kleeberg and it is my pleasure and privilege to serve as the Vice Principal of Murnin.

This is the beginning of my eighteenth year as an educator.  My experiences include eight years as a kindergarten and first grade teacher (three of those years as a first grade teacher here at Murnin), three years as a campus reading teacher and instructional coach, and seven years in elementary school administration.

I grew up in western New York, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology.  I attended the University of Texas, San Antonio to complete my Texas Teacher Certification and received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from New Mexico Highlands University.

In addition to growing up in western New York,  I have lived in Connecticut, Maine, California, New Mexico and my favorite state, Texas.

I look forward to working with the staff, students, and parents of Murnin Elementary this year to ensure the success of each student on our campus.
